Himmlers geraubte Kinder: documentary, talk with a witness.

„Himmlers geraubte Kinder“ is a documentary film by Christoph Schwarz, screening at the Babylon cinema. Over 80 years ago Himmler's SS men kidnapped around 200,000 children from Poland and Slovenia; to this day the victims receive no compensation from the German government. A petition filed in 2022 by the association „geraubte Kinder - vergessene Opfer“ led the petitions committee to decide positively in May and call on the federal government to examine a “compensation solution at federal level.” After the screening there will be a talk with contemporary witness Anton Model, whose mother, a Ukrainian forced laborer, had her son forcibly taken from her, followed by a discussion; relatives of former stolen children will also attend.
