About

A screening with a short introduction and a following discussion, showing „2 oder 3 Dinge, die ich von ihm weiß“ by director Malte Ludin. The film takes as its starting point the filmmaker's own father, the Nazi diplomat Hanns Ludin, whom Hitler sent in 1941 as envoy to Slovakia to enforce Berlin's interests there, above all the „Endlösung“. After the war Hanns Ludin was handed over, sentenced to death and executed in 1947. Together with his siblings and relatives, the director speaks openly about denial, loyalty and shame within his own family, asking whether the father was a hero and martyr or a criminal.
