“Monika Ertl – Eine Frage des Widerstands” is a documentary theatre production by Berlin's COSTA COMPAGNIE, directed by Felix Meyer-Christian. Four performers from Germany, France and Bolivia tell the life of Monika Ertl with film sequences, interviews and archive material: she left her privileged marriage in Bolivia in the late 1960s and joined the guerrilla built up there by Che Guevara. The piece asks about resistance, violence and revolution, including the confrontation with Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie and the Nazi hunters Serge and Beate Klarsfeld. It is the third and final part of a ten-year documentary theatre trilogy.
