A book launch with a video screening at the Kunstverein am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. The artist Alexandra Hopf presents the publication „77 Frauen unserer Zeit“, published by Distanz Verlag with a foreword by Rebecca Wilton and an essay by Andreas Prinzing. In it, she continues the concept of the 1930 book „Unsere Zeit in 77 Frauenbildnissen“ in 77 reverse glass paintings depicting role models from the second half of the twentieth century, asking which roles they embodied and how they staged themselves. Also shown for the first time is the video work „Spitting Image“, based on the painting of punk icon Jordan Mooney (Pamela Rooke) and reconstructing its moment in extreme slow motion.
