About
„Die Wannseekonferenz“ is a feature film by Matti Geschonneck that retraces, almost in real time, the meeting of high-ranking Nazi representatives held on 20 January 1942 in a villa on the Großer Wannsee. Reinhard Heydrich had invited them to coordinate the so-called „Final Solution of the Jewish Question“ – the systematic murder of Europe's Jews. The film follows the minutes recorded by Adolf Eichmann and turns the bureaucratic language and organisation of mass murder into the subject of a chilling chamber drama. It stars Philipp Hochmair, Johannes Allmayer and Maximilian Brückner, among others.
