About

The exhibition ¡Hasta siempre, Fidel! presents photographs of Fidel Castro's political life. It is staged by the Maigalerie, the gallery of junge Welt. At its centre are pictures by Cuban photographer and filmmaker Roberto Chile, the Comandante's house photographer, together with work by his Cuban colleagues Raúl Abreu and Alex Castro. Historical photographs from Castro's childhood and youth and from the guerrillas' fight in the Sierra Maestra up to the victory of the Cuban Revolution on 1 January 1959 complete the show.
