This is a working dress rehearsal of Puccini's opera Tosca at the London Coliseum, giving audiences the chance to see the production before anyone else. English National Opera presents it, directed by the company's Artistic Director Annilese Miskimmon, who reimagines the timeless opera following the critical success of Dead Man Walking in 2025. Set in a concert hall in a European state overtaken by civil conflict, it follows opera singer Floria Tosca, whose secret meeting with her lover, the painter Mario Cavaradossi, is intervened in by the corrupt police chief Scarpia, forcing Tosca to fight for her love, her honour and her life. Sung in English with surtitles, note that scenes may need to be repeated and cast may not sing out fully, and it is advised for ages 15+.
